The band features outstanding vocalists and musicians who individually have worked regularly with top international stars such as Andrea Bocelli, Celine Dion, Billy Ocean, Shirley Bassey, Tony Hadley and Mica Paris.

With an extensive playlist made up of classic dance tracks from the 1940s to the present day, including everything from pop, soul and motown to rock, reggae, latin and jazz, ALIBI brings the ultimate live music experience to your wedding, corporate event, charity ball, birthday or anniversary party.

With a choice of function band sizes ranging from duo right up to a 10-piece, ALIBI offers a line-up to suit any size of event or venue. Solo piano and jazz duo, trio or quartet are also available as the perfect background for any wedding ceremony, reception or dinner. See below for a more detailed account of these options.

The band regularly play at weddings and functions in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire and Kent as well as regularly appearing at top hotels in London and throughout the UK.

BAND LINE-UPS & VARIANTS

ALIBI function band is available in a variety of sizes, with many permutations for their line-up. Their ever popular 4-piece is flexible, compact and produces a remarkably full sound more usually associated with larger ensembles.  Here are examples of some of the other options that are available:

4-piece function band: Female Vocals, Keyboard / Bass, Guitar/Bass (with vocals), Drums

5-piece function band: As above, with added Saxophone or Bass Guitar

6-piece function band: As 4 piece, with both added Sax and Bass Guitar

For large events and venues, the following 7-10 piece options are recommended:

7-piece function band: Female Vocals, Keyboards, Bass Guitar, Guitar

(with vocals), Drums, Sax, Male Vocals

8-piece function band: As above, with added Trumpet

9-piece function band: As 8-piece, with either added Trombone or Percussion

10-piece function band: Additional Female Vocals

FURTHER INFORMATION

ALIBI have £10,000,000 public liability insurance and all equipment is fully PAT tested.

The band is fully self contained with a state of the art PA system and LED lighting for the stage area.

A typical engagement would include the following:

•    Up to two and a half hours of band playing time, divided into 2 or 3 sets

•    Pre-recorded iPod music during band breaks

•    Provision of a microphone for speeches

•    The performance of a specially requested song, such as for a first dance at a wedding

BOOK THE WHOLE PACKAGE

ALIBI are often asked to provide the music for a whole event.  Perhaps this is background music during the afternoon and music for dancing in the evening.  This might consist of solo piano for the ceremony and a jazz trio for the drinks reception before the full band takes the stage for the evening entertainment.

Booking the whole package is far more convenient and cost effective than sourcing each element from different suppliers.

KEEPING IT REAL AND 100% LIVE!

ALIBI do not use pre-recorded music such as backing tracks, loops or samples during performance, so when you book this band, you can be sure that everything you hear is being played live.

ALIBI‘s sets seamlessly flow from one song to the next without gaps, thus ensuring a full dance floor from start to finish.

ALIBI always play at a sensible volume that is comfortable for both those on the dance floor and others who wish to converse, listen to and enjoy the music.

THE BAND’S SINGERS AND MUSICIANS

ALIBI’s band members are all artists of the highest quality who frequently work alongside some of the biggest names in the world of music.

Due to the session work and touring commitments of their players, ALIBI have a select pool of musicians and vocalists on which to call.  If a certain member is unavailable on a particular date, another performer of equally high standard is seamlessly slotted in.  As only regular members of ALIBI are used (never random deputies), the exceptional quality and tightness of the band is always guaranteed.  This also ensures that the band would never pull out of an engagement at short notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as illness.
